Seeing Jesus for Who He is.
Study No. 21 - Chapter 12:12 – 32
Summary of last lesson:
Jesus has supper with Mary, Martha and Lazarus
Mary anoints Jesus’ feet. (Matthew 26:7 says she poured in on His head. Obviously it was both. Mt 26:12 Jesus says His body was anointed)
Concerning Faith:
1. It comes in (or involves several) stages –
2. It involves ‘maintenance’
3. It continues to grow
4. It involves a multiple focus
5. It is destroyed when a part of the object is rejected or doubted.
Believing in Jesus is the only ‘work’ that we can do for our salvation. John 6:28 ¶ Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" (29) Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."
And while ‘believing’ is not a difficult work, what makes it even less vulnerable is the following verse:
Php 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
Chapter 12:12 – 50 The Passover is approaching -
The Triumphal Entry in to Jerusalem 12 – 19

1. One who has power over the future – to predict and to control: Mark 10:32 - 34
2. One who has power over the effects of sin. Mark 10:46 – 52 (Jn 11:43)
3. One who has power over nature Mark 11:1 – 11 (or Jn 12:14)
They will see Him as the One Who brings all nations together.
Eph 1:10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth——in Him.
Eph 2: 11 ¶ Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh——who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands—--
12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
14 ¶ For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
