The Seven-sealed scroll time-line
- The White horse
This represents the coming of the Antichrist, The man of Sin, the Lawless one. So why is he depicted as riding on a white horse?
The following scriptures can help explain it.
Da 11:21 ¶ In his place shall arise a contemptible person to whom royal majesty has not been given. He shall come in without warning and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
II Cor 11:14 … Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
We read that this person ‘obtains the kingdom’, not with a sword but by flattery (smooth talk).
2. The Red Horse. World War. Peace is taken from the earth. This implies that the earth had peace just prior to this. Perhaps this also infers that the rider of the white horse, the antichrist, had promised and delivered a certain measure of peace for the whole earth.
3. The black horse. Famine conditions, perhaps very widespread over the earth.
A quart of wheat for one day's average wage.
three quarts of barley for a day’s wages.
Do not hurt the oil and the wine implies that other crops were hurt severely.
4. The Pale horse. ¼ of the earth’s population (remaining population after the great war) is killed. The causes of death are further warfare, pandemics, and starving animals.
5. The Fifth Seal - A glimpse of believers in heaven who have been executed during the tribulation so far.
6. The Sixth Seal - The end of the tribulation.
Every island moved. Every mountain moved. Incredible fear as unbelievers can literally see God’s throne. They perceive that the very next thing is to experience the wrath of God.
7. The Seventh Seal - Silence in heaven for half an hour. This is a description of the ‘attitude’ of those in heaven who have just witnessed the majority of believers who have just arrived in hell as a result of God’s righteous wrath
This is the timeline of the tribulation period as depicted by the opening of a seven sealed scroll.
Following this in the book of revelation, is the same time-line depicted by the sounding of seven trumpets, and also by the out-pouring of seven bowls of God’s wrath.
